New to this forum from H-town TX - I'm going to need all the information I can get from you guys.

Just started my new project - 1972 Firebird

I'm looking at making it a pro-touring project, so I'm going to need your opinion on what parts to use for my suspention upgrade to start with....

All opinions are welcomed...

Thanks'

Welcome!! Im sure you'll find all the answers you need here. I can point you in the direction of Detroit Speed and Engineering for their second gen stuff. That or you can go with Ridetech's air ride setup for an awsome handling car that rides well too. It's all about your budget. How much are you looking to spend?

I'm working with about $2000.00 to start with.

I was looking at a Hotchkins suspention kit..

Welcome! On my 70 Firebird I used Hotchkis springs, swaybars, Tierod adjusters, offset upper control arm shafts, and the Bilsteins they sell to work with their stuff and I've been happy with it. Also check out GEN II Racing Products at http://www.pro-touringf-body.com/

Hotchkis is the way to go. We sell a lot of it to members here and install it dailey in our shop. For your $2000 you can do a killer set up and have party money left over.
