I just picked up super chevy's annual nova supplement. I turned to the TCI nova. I really like the wheels and the sizes look right! I'm a little confused as to the rear sizes. It says they are 18x8's with 285-40-18 tires. They look wider than that.almost like a 9.5 or a 10. The tire doesnt look like it is to wide for the rim.I say this because I have put 275-40-17's on 17x8 wheels and they bulge out at the side walls. The 18's look to be more squared like when I put the 275-40-17's on a 17x9.5 wheel. I know you can run the 285-40-18 tire on a 18x8 with no problems,I was just curious if the sizes where right. Another question is what are the back spacing on the front and rear wheels.I like this look and want to order the same demensions! Thanks for any help you can give me!

I would go with wider wheels on the back..

285-40-18 needs a 10 or at least a 9.5 to look right. It will look sucked in mounted on a 8"

Hey gear heads 78,
Thats what I thought. I dont know if it was a typo or what but the mag says they have 18x8's all round. I agree i had 17x8's on my old 62' wagon with 275/40/17 tires and they looked sucked in. I was just wanting to know if they had the 18x9.5 in the rear? I had a set of 18x10 boyds under my 72 nova with no rear axle and they looked like they'd fit with out mini tubing the rear. Super chevy didnt say if TCI did or not. Just trying to figure it out. Thanks!
