so my buddy justin told me about this site since he knows i love american muscle cars. long story short i always wanted a 71 challenger, but i'm a poor college student so i went the cheaper route and bought a japanese car.

ugliest oem paint. EVER.

to make up for the fact that my car would never be as sexy as an old school challenger, i decided it would at least have to be fast(since the car was pretty much the ugliest thing i'd ever driven. so i dropped this into it

2.5l straight 6 turbo>2.4l straight four any day of the week
i know my engine is still coke bottle status, but it's been fun so far, even though i have the need for more boost.

i drove around for a bit with my car like that and decided that the car was way to ugly and something had to be done.

of course with a japanese car there are about 10000000 body kits i could put on but only about 2 that didn't constitute ricer status.

after that i needed some paint so i decided to go with sti black obsidian pearl, which is a glossy black with green and blue flake

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/03/292195665-1.jpg

but of course i needed to do my body work first

so i drove this around for a while

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/03/276847791-1.jpg

finally got my car into the booth at the local community college, that guy in the backround is justin aka 69camarokid.

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/03/293258437-1.jpg

it turned out like this:

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/01/293355908-1.jpg

of course i can't run on 16x6.5 with puny 205's so i got some new wheels:

volk sf winnings 18x9 +17 all around

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2008/03/307114566-1.jpg

from start to now took me about 2 years.

the next thing on the list is going to be a huge turbo upgrade something along the lines of a gt35r with a divided entry. as long as my car is faster than justin's its alllll good.

I love the 240's as well. In my opinion, they are far from ugly. Fairly lightweight RWD sports coupes are becoming things of the past...

Great job on the build. I would have gone sans body kit myself, but the one chosen complements the look of the car.

My wife's cousin just sold his car that was very similar to that. He did the rb25 swap, but the left the body stock.

eh its not a silvia front end, those front ends came on the 97-98 models, although the 98s werent ever sold here.. really the only silvia front end swaps end up being the jdm s13 onto the pignose 240sx's here, the s15 fronts onto the 89-96 240s and sometimes the 97s, the 97 front end is the best IMO, but the 94-96s are nice also.

what kit did you go with?? VersionSelect makes some really nice clean and simple ones..

looks like a nice driver

uh, looks like you have been miss-informed there.

the silvia in japan came in 3 models s13 s14 and s15 the s15's were sold in 99-02 and were never brought over here. my old car had the silvia front bumper and lip.

i went with the cwest front end because it had a bigger front air dam for my front mounted intercooler.
