I picked up a posi factory disc rear end for my Formula.
Can anyone help me with some pics and possibly part #'s.
Need to know how the brake lines...and emergency brakes hook up. :help:

Thanx,

brakes lines are hardlined on the axle even out to the cailpers. they have an s bend out there. id just buy premade ones. id think fine lines or inline tube would have them. the ebrake is a bitch i think. its incorporated with the caliper piston. so doing a brake pad change in the rear has always been horrible for me. if anyone has tips im open for suggestions. let me know if you have problems getting pics. itll take me a few days but i can get some of mine as it sits on the car and which is how the factory ran them

I don't mean to rob your thread, but I have a 79 TA disk brake rear that needs rotors/calipers/lines and e-brake cables.Where is the best place to get these and who makes drilled-slotted rotors and better calipers/pads? thanks

well Ames should have the lines and cables. not sure on the rotors and calipers upgrade though. im not interested in changing mine out, so i honestly havent looked into it. might want to try Bear or Wilwood though

i wouldn't waste a dime on those crappy rear discs. I had a set, the ebrake will eventually stop working and when it does, say good by to the adjustment since the ebraek adjusts the calipers. Get some 93-97 f body brakes or 98-02 for about $400 complete

Yody...
Why did the E-brake stop working?
Did the lines corrode ?

The problem is the adjuster inside the caliper piston. It's replaceable, but difficult to do.
