I dont like the floor shifter I have. so can i take it out and get a pushbutton shifter?
I am looking for a push button shifter,just push "P N D 1 2 3 "
not like on the steering wheel or anything racing like, but you know something to clean-up the cab a bit. I rember seeing them in some older hotrod mags but cant seem to find them now.
thanks

MOONEYES makes that kind of setup and has an electric actuator that selects the gears. I couldnt tell you how well it works since Ive never installed one but they do have it.

If you do not want to use a shifter at all, the main two companies that have something currently available is Mastershift & Retrotech. Mastershift uses a remote mounted actuator with a cable, the Retrotech uses a actuator that mounts off from the pan rail (ensure you have plenty of clearance). The Mastershift comes with paddles, the retrotech comes with paddles & a push button style shifter. Both are pricey, but work. We are working on an option but it will be awhile before it is finalized and TCI has a pretty sweet setup that should be available later this summer. As far as making it work with the old Mopar push button, it can be done, but you will need to use one of the two listed above, and build a custom transfer system that basicly presses a momentary electronic button when you press each gear selector button, again very pricey but can be achieved.
