View Full Version : Vintage air install - crimping lines

Since a special crimper is needed to crimp the A/C lines, do you just cut them to fit and then take them down to a garage to have them do it? Seems like buying a crimping tool for a one time job isn't worth it. Also, can you crimp the 5/8" heater hose into the same A/C fittings to fit them on to the DSE bulkhead connector?

That is what we do! we cut to fit. mock them up an put a mark on the fitting an hose to clock them correctly, take them to a shop that makes hose's have them do the crimping.
