For the folks familiar with Huntsville, I would be interested in thoughts about the area, schools and what there is to do for a family. It has been about 10 years since I was last there and the wife and I are talking about it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The reason is I am an unemployed mechanical engineer and there just is not alot of opportunity in Atlanta at this time.

I would much rather stay here. I am trying - but I have to open up a little to move forward. The problem is most everything I have seen and been interested in is over in Norcross - up 85. I just might have to commute - I don't know. We will see.

i live in Arab,AL. it's about 35 miles south of huntsville.huntsville has some worse areas of town just like most cities their size. madison just west of huntville is really growing. i think also the area around hazel green is fairly nice.also there is a fairly wide variety of activities for families to do.
