I have a Pontiac 400 that is .030 over with a 8.8:1 CR. I have a Comp Cams XE268 (268/280 .477/.480 110LSA) stock intake and q-jet. I am thinking of putting a set of Rhoads lifters in to get a little broader torque curve. I have had some people tell me not to do this with a cam this small? I know a lot of people run the RAIV cam with Rhoads which is 230/240 @.050, so I don't see much difference. I ran some calculatons to check the dynamic compression ratio, and that should not be a problem.
