Maybe this won't be allowed in this forum but I think we are all interested in vehicle fabrication. I am bored silly by the normal bolt it to the unibody type project and found this thread absolutely enthralling, and I learned a lot about fab and welding.

If F1 cars were made of tubular steel chassis, this is how they would be built - scroll the whole thing all 36 pages are worthwhile and it gets better with every step. Just the fabrication tables they use probably cost $25k+.

Talk about some triangulation, geez!

You could probably run a monster truck over that and nothing would happen. :hammer:

Thats a shot of the Terriable Herbst shop in So Cal.....Off road racing in my first lovegot the chance to co drive in a class 1(unlimited buggy) last year and was bit hard by the bug... but the 100 to 750k price tag of the vehicles seriously hampers my efforts... Almost went to work for a team when I was living in Las Vegas but it didnt make financial sense...heres the whole shop http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27287 by the way there are quite a few very experenced fabricators...

Absolutely amazing! I like the technical aspect of this type of construction..... but WOW..... this is over-the-top! The dicipline to create the tooling alone is amazing.

I know Rodger's 'wheels' are spinning now: More shop space..... add a few more frame tables....

absolutely stunning, the shop is a work of art on its own nevermind the work they produce. They even make trophy go-carts
