I am currantly working on my 67 442 W-30 and a lot of projects at once. History- This car started off life w/ $2000 and a wrecked 71 power everything Cutlass. Sold the Cutlass and bought this 67 Cutlass Supreme. It was a 330v8, 2speed auto, open 2:56, Manual Drum Car. To say the least, It needed some help. First mod was a complete detail to brighten her up. Then as any 18 year old, I installed a full mandrul bent Flowmaster exhaust. Swapped out the front manual drum for camaro big spindle 11in rotors, Global West upper arms, and big sway bars. Found and original E block C headed 400ci engine, rebuilt it w/ Keith Black pistons and a stick forged 400 crank. Had a newer turbo 400 trans rebuilt and intalled both with a nose off detail job w/ a rattle can black. Bought a 3:23 12bolt cheap and I had a Cool Car. Next was an aluminum manifold w/ Holley Commander 950 Fuel Injection. Car was tuned as long as I had first gear. Lost first gear and went crazy. Got a new and higher paying job and bought a 9in 3:70 rear w/ Explorer style rear disc, Gobal West upper and lower tubular rear control arms as well as lower front arms, Koni shocks all around, and a bowtie Overdrive's 2004r w/ Lightning Rod shifter. She now has been on jack stands for months. I have the rear installed and I'm starting to plumb new stainless lines for the rear brakes and fuel lines for a in-the-tank fuel pump gas tank for the fuel injection. The nose is stripped in preporation for the red inner fender wells, ram air duct work and battery relocation. Also an upgrade from the camaro spindles to a B-body 12in rotor w/ wilwood GM III calipers and Stainless steel flex lines. As you can read, Lots still to do!!! Love this site!!! This is my official Hello!!!

They are Wilwood GM III calipers, How long have you used them and how well do they work on the street? Keep them Olds running!!!!

One thing I wanted to point out is how I tried to hide the Fuel Injection from unknown lookers. I had a small cap HEI distributor cut in half and connected to an Olds lower distributor so no one knew I was controlling the timing w/ a computer.

The distribuuor on the left is a new Chevy small cap distributor and the one on the right is my creation. I did this because Olds never made an electronic distributor so instead of modifying (which would be easier) a big HEI destributor I make my own so it would look like the original distributor. I basically made my own cam sensor so the computer could calulate the timing. Took a little time to get it right but it works like a charm. This bit is also nessicary when it came to tuning this Holley system. Couldn't get the fuel maps right w/ out the timing working in the computer. When I first installed the FI it was only the fuel and the distributor was running on petronix (could have used points).

I used to run the Monte a few times a year down at E-town, but haven't since I put the new motor in last year. I should get down there this year for one of the EFI Shootouts just to see what kind of times it can run. I always go to the Swapmeet, and usually have my car in the show part.

And hey, I hear ya on the Benys part! If I come down to the beach now, it's on a weekday in the summer so I don't have to deal with all the lunatics and rude North Jerseyans. I'm a teacher, so having the summer off gives me time to play with the car and be with my wife and little kids. I haven't been to Long Branch in years; we used to fish there when I was kid when the pier was still up. After that burned down my grandfather and us used to fish over at the Point Pleasant Inlet. As for NJ membership, there's quite a few scattered all over the state. We should set up a meet sometime this summer for the NJ members to get to.

Oh, you did a very nice job on hiding your EFI stuff, I like the sleeper look!

I thank you all for your appriciation of my ride. I hope to have it completed by mid summer. Still have a couple of things to figure out and reconditon. For all my new New Jersey friends, there is a great car show that takes place at some outlet stores by the Great Adventure. This car show takes place at the end of every month in the summer and attrack cars from all over the state and out of the state. It was even featured in Car Craft and Hot Rod. I believe it to be the last Friday of every month in the summer. Lets make one of those months (hopefully later in the summer) to admire some of our cars together. Its kinda in the middle of the state. Any takers???

That's the show at the Jackson Outlets. I've gone down there once, and it was great! Took me a 'lil over an hour to get there, but not a terrible ride at all. My car turned 20 years old this year, hopefully they don't give me any crap about parking in the show area because my car is "too new!"
