I have a 69 Camaro and just installed a DSE Wiper Motor. My question is where is the best place to connect the source feed? I am using the IGN terminal from the factory fuse panel; however, the ACC & BAT are available. The factory feed for the wipers is a 18 gauge wire from the original wiper connector to the original wiper motor. Can this be used as the source? The DSE source wire is 12 gauge and my concern is that I may be placing too much of a load on the ignition switch circuit. I'm not very savy on electrical stuff, so I would be extremley gratefull if someone can you lead me through the process. Thanks, John

I have mine hooked into the acc terminal on my fuse block. It allows you to go back to factory should that ever be desired. If you were thinking of hooking it into the wiper plug behind the switch, I would not. Though I do not know the current draw of such an accessory, The feed wire on the DSE piece is nearly double in gague, that should tell you about what draw it needs. Good luck, it is an awesome upgrade.

Thanks. As you I don't know the draw and was concerned the ACC terminal wouldn't be able to handle it. However, since you are using it I assume all is well, so I'll give it a try. John

how gout the wiring for the wiper its already fused and labeled for you on the fuse panel? Also that motor that des uses is simply a late mdel gm wiper motor woth an adapter plate and if youve seen the gauge size on a newer truck youd see that it isnt large at all, those motors pull next to nothing as far as current goes.
