the serpentine set up and water pump look like they came from wegner. really nice stuff.

my carb setup uses the msd box. if my coils werent on the valve cover i would deff run those cast chevrolet pieces.

yeah, they look pretty cool, I was wondering how they drive the distributor and fuel pump.
I think that it would be neat in an older car, would probably confuse a few people thinking its a ford engine with the distributor up front!

Yes, that and the equally spaced intake ports, I was just thinking how much it looked like a SBF!! :)

Those LSx engines have so much potential in many different forms, what an awesome engine family.

I was wondering how they drive the distributor and fuel pump.It is Wegner stuff, and they do it with a custom front cover and an adapter bolted to the camshaft. The adapter has the elliptical for a fuel pump and a gear to drive a distributor. And to continue the Ford discussion, their early prototypes used a Ford distributor. I don't know if that's still true.

And... the engines make awesome power!

If you dig really deep the similarities between the LS engines and the Ford engines is really striking....here's a hint GM bought out a Ford patent before they went with this engine arcitechture

That distributor and fuel pump sure don't help things aesthetically. JMO.

From what Iwas told the fuel pump mounted up like they have. While in a crash while racing it was less lighty be broke off.

seriously why do people have to knock the carb? either way LSX engines kick ass. carb or not.

you ever seen a mustang guy get pissy because they junked the FI for a carb?

the engine is $8895 with AC and $8795 without.

Because the carbed engine is tuned right exactly once.
