DSE Mini Tub question

I am installing a DSE mini tub kit in my 69 Camaro and it looks like you could use a factory fuel tank?? Is it the leaf springs that make you have to use a custom tank??

The leaf springs don't change when you install the mini tubs. You can still use the stock tank. The only other thing that changes is the location of your shocks.

Yes. If you use the offset shackles, you would need a custom tank.

If you want to run wider than stock tires, the reason for the minitub, you have to run offset shackles for the leafs to clear the tires. When you move the leafs, then you have to narrow the gas tank. If you run a quadralink, you might get away with a stock tank width.
