Roll Cage Main Hoop

I am getting close to istalling my S&W cage. Does the main hoop need to be perpendicular to the floor or can I tilt the main hoop away from the driver.

This is 99% STREET car
I would like to keep it "legal" for track days

Yes the main hoop can be angled,
But it must be within 6 inches of the driver helmet.
