Haven't been on here in awhile so thought I throw a pic up of what I built over the fall and winter. It was my first bike build from the ground up. I even did the bodywork! The number is my motocross number

A little update on the car. I am currently building some kick panels for it to house my JL Audio mids and tweeters. I ran all wires for crossovers when I rewired car so pretty much a matter of making the kicks. Also have 10" JL subs to go in trunk.

Hope this link works!

Nice bike. Now put a helmet on! How much of the bike did you build? Frame and gas tank premade or did you fabricate all that as well? Your Nova looks badass too.

I like truly custom bikes. I'm not a fan of these nameless choppers bought piece meal out of a magazine that every tough guy poser seems to own now. Take an old vintage Harley and turn it into something cool and you've got my attention. Crank it up with the straight pipes and I'll be hating it. I am not a fan of drag pipes except at idle.

Resto, I like that color you mixed. The seat and color give it an old school/classic feel to me. Hopefully that's what you were going for.

The frame was a bought frame by DNA and the tank and fenders were blanks that I made to fit. Did all of the mounting, welding, cutting, grinding to make the blanks fit. So I geuss WS6 isn't a fan of my bike then. hahha Cause it is not a pure custom. But I like it. It was custom for me as I did alot of the grinding and welding, brake aligning and mounting, wheel fitment, wiring, made my own solo seat pan (that my brother is tooling for me right now, It will have the Copenhagen sign on top) and did all of the bodywork and helped paint. So I geuss if I like it thats what matters.

I thought it turned out good for a learning bike. Have never done anything quite to that nature. It is just a plain old Harley Evo, Harley 5 speed, Harley primary. Rear tire is a 260. Chain drive. Dakota Digital multi function gauge. And yes boys, straight pipes! I have tried 2 different kinds of baffles and they all make it sound like a hopped up lawnmower. Actually this one straight piped is not all that loud. I think it is perfect. And yes I do wear the helmet. I race Motocross and to not wear a helmet I feel naked. None in the picture cause I was moving the bike at a Harley cruise/show here in my local town.

Oh and Restomod! I love that bike. Right side drive too! And that frame material, is it 1 3/4? Holy cow that is some beefy stuff. I love the bike, but could use some pinstriping in my opinion. To kinda brake up the blue. Thats kinda why I went with the white pearl with black pinstripe around that stripe. To break it up and kinda go with the old SS Chevelle Camaro style of stripe.

If that's your 1st bike thats impresive ,you could do it for a living ,you'd kick some butt at the shows.

It's hard for me to explain in words the type of people I refer to but they stick out at the shows and on the road to me. I do like your bike though. Very nicely done for the first effort.

WS6 I know the people youre talkin about. I would prefer a complete custok bike anyday and I'm sure these people would to. But to some, it is cheaper to do the "kit" thing. Hell, as long as they are having fun and enjoying the roads (and building a safe bike, you gotta watch some stuff) that is sweet. To each there own. I try not to put them down the way I hope they wouldn't put me down. I'm not much of a "Harley" guy, but have grown fond of it. And I still feel weird putting on my leather Harley jacket cause I don't want people to think I'm tryin to be someone I'm not. So that is why my Harley jacket is there sporty model. hahhaha Its a win win!!

I'm actually building a 1980 KZ440 bobber hardtail for my girlfreind right now and when I'm done with that, I'm gonna build a Yamaha XS650. I haven't decided oin the direction of that yet. They make some cool stuff for the XS650 for a chopper. But I really like the old school dirttrack look also. Any opinions to sway me??

I dont know if I was going for a "Classisc" look but something different not normally seen. Most bikes I see are not blue and none of them have anything but black seats. I hate Skulls, Iron Cross'es, and crazy paint jobs with so much going on you can make heads or tails of it.

I totally agree with you on the "no skulls, Iron crosses" type of stuff. I put my motocross number on the side of the oil bag just to break it up. Jesse Rooke has also done this on alot of his customs. If I could build any kind of bike, it would have to be one like Rookes. I love how his are old school boardtacker kinda. Especially the one he calls "Darla".
