safety loop location

Hey guys,

I'm in the garage working on the car and am about to install a driveshaft safety loop. Where does it go? Towards the front, rear, or in the center?:confused: My thoughts would be towards the front behind the tranny.

If you want to be NHRA legal it has to be no further back than 6" behind the front u-joint.

The idea is to prevent the front of the driveshaft from falling and digging into the ground if the front u-joint or yoke fails.

That's the info I needed. I kinda figured it was to keep the front of the driveshaft from entering the passenger compartment.
