I bought this car from a friend in San Jose. It was a ****ty day yesterday, so I haven't even driven the car. I've already ordered up a new steering wheel, driver's side mirror and started cleaning up the interior. :headbang:

Looks good...but what's wrong with the current steering wheel?

It's my friend's wheel from his race car. It was part of the purchase agreement that I'd send him the wheel back when I got a new one :)
This is the Sparco wheel I ordered:

Same look/style, but smooth leather instead of the alcantara.

Very nice ride! And nice to see a '69 with a flat hood. What engine is in it?
Also, just curious as to what you paid. Anyways, congrats on the new car and hope your weather gets good soon!

LT1 w/a couple mods. I've owned other LT1 cars, so the engine is familiar. I wish I hadn't sold the stock engine out of my Z06, as that would have been a nice conversion - oh well. I can get good power out of the old LT1 with a little bit of work. It has Baer brakes at all 4 corners and a Wayne Due subframe up front. Custom built subframe connectors with the rollbar tied directly to them. No PS or AC, I think I'll work on putting AC in it to extend the weather in which I can drive it.
It also came with a spare, low mileage T56, along with all the necessary parts for conversion. I don't plan on that anytime soon, but I'll probably keep the tranny just in case I smoke the auto :)
As far as price, it was bought from a friend who bought it from the friend who built it, so I'm not sure that it's indicative of the market for a car with this much work done to it.

Is this your only PT car or do you have others? If you have others, I would say keep this one like it is and make it a driver because you could ride around the block and get more looks in that thing than I could get in my ranger if I drove to Cali and back!
NICE CAR!

It is my only PT car. I have a bunch of plans, but overall the spirit and look of the car will remain the same. I'm just adding on to where my friends started - more power, better wheels/tires, tweak the suspension, restore the interior.
The paint is good, but not great, which is what I wanted. I want a driver, not a show car.
Just took the car around the block for the first time. What a ride. :)

I almost went with the flat hood on my car. I still got it leaning up against garage about back.
Nice buy. Have fun with it.

I love it like it is, I never liked a flat hood on a Camaro but that does look good

It's an Intellitronix dash. I'm not a huge fan, but it is what it is. Not really high on my list, but it will eventually be turned into an analog setup.
Here's my new Sparco steering wheel. Much nicer feel vs. the alcantara Momo.

Very nice, I love the photos with the clouds and especially the rain drops.
Any chance of some info and pictures on the roll bar/cage?
Thanks!

The flat hood does look good. I'm using my stock flat hood for cost reasons, but also I think it adds a little 'sleeper' look to the car. I'm trying to go low key on the outside, no emblems or chrome.
