Hey guys,

I'm doing a little research on Mopars.

Choose the option that fits you best.

Tony, where is the "I just started my first Mopar project and the car hates me" choice? Or would I chose the blueberry pie?

ummmmm... blueberry pie... :yum:

But back on topic, I would dig having a Mopar and they came in some crazy drug induced colors right from the factory :bananna2:

This thread reminds me... I have to go re-read the GTX-R article that was in Hot Rod a while back. I loooooooooooove that car...

I've always liked them, but liked Chevys a little more.

Where is the "I've always dug Mopars, but then again, I dig all vintage iron." option??? I had to choose the "... starting to like Mopars" instead.

I have to admit, my first object of lust was a beat but clean '67 Coronet 440 2 door with a 413 wedge... it sat on flat tires in the church parking lot on Ft. Bragg untouched for near 2 years before it was suddenly towed away. If only I wasn't 13 at the time, I'd probably still have that car instead of my Mach.

Hey Tony, I have always loved Mopars. My neigbor had a 70 Hemi Cuda when growing up and he and his buddies would hang out in the garage wrenching on something. My first car was a Chevy tho...Mopars are so much more " involved " to fix up or restore...a NOS replacement grill for my 71 is around the $1500 range. Shaker hoods gonna cost around 5 grand. Hey do I smell another book? :icon996:

Yeah, I smell another book! There's a ton of nice PT Mopars that have emerged from the fold lately.

I like the old Mopars. My dad had a 68 Charger when I was young, my Uncle is has a 340 Cuda that I've striped twice now.

I may be aquiring a 68 Charger 440-4spd car in the near future. I've already have the car planned out, I just need to get my Nova done.

I've had a few chevy over the years, but I've had around 15 Mopars too. So I got to say Mopars are my first love. I have a 1970 440 Pro street Duster and a semi Pro Touring 1967 2 door post Valiant right now.

Tony you forgot two more poll choices.

1. I like Mopars because of Nash Bridges

2. All the above

It started for me with the General Lee, or was it my dad had a 71 Challenger and my uncle had a 70 Barracuda when I was a wee tot.

Tony,
I am not sure which section describes me either. I have always liked Chevys better but no doubt Chrysler products are next on my list. It seems that they are in high demand after the auction this weekend too. It is unbelieveable how much Hemi cars are bringing nowdays. As discussed in a thread not long ago, they were never known for their great handling but certainly had that raw muscle that all hotrodders love. The General Lee was/is such a joke and waste of good cars. I have heard the figure on how many chargers they destroyed filming that show and it makes me sick to think about it.
Funny you ask though, because there was a company at the auction that had a cuda and a challenger that they had transplanted viper motors in and where saying that they had mixed "old" with "new" and created a new kind of ride. Maybe the trend will grow and we will have another contender in the pro-touring world. It would have to be a kick in the pants to drive one of those cars.

I vote blueberry pie. I'm a chevy/GM guy but I do respect well built and fast fords/mopars too.
