I am looking for other people's experience of the durability of billet wheels (17/18") on the street.

Are they very easy to damage on pot-holes or other road hazards?

Have you messed up a set, and if so how did you do it?

Specifically I am thinking of going with a set of Wheel Vintiques Billet 18" rallye wheels, but I am concerned that the general road conditions in Los Angeles, CA might cause me some future grief.

Any suggestions or comments are appreciated!

I have 18" Billet Specialties and have hit a couple of pot holes knowing that I probably just squared the lip but to my surprise...no damage. In short...I have had no problems! Go for it.

You won't have a problem with 18's. I've had every size, on multiple cars, from 17" through 22" and I have only bent one 20" and that was because it was a HUGE pot hole, at 70 miles an hour with a 30 series tire. In an 18", in Los Angeles... you'll be more than fine, you'll be happy.
