I had a nice talk with Frank(prodigy) today. I called him on some wheel prices and ended up getting some really great ideas for my 69. He suggested a polished wheel with a silver center and then doing a silver SS stripe instead of white. The more I think about it the better I like his ideas. Now I just need to get everyone elses cars out of my garage so I can get busy on mine.

I enjoyed are conversation. Always nice to talk to another brother in the industry (Mikey is a body and paint guy). I really do think our design will look smokin. I really like the idea of matching the wheels to the stripe, and having everything on the car being blue, silver, stainless, chrome, keeping the car in 2 color families. I think it will look very detailed and prevent the "oh, looks like he just stuck wheels on it" feedback you are dreading. Just minor details can make a project turn out looking completely intentional instead of after thought or store bought looking.
