Does anyone know if the C5 13" rotor and caliper will work with a 15" wheel and only 2" of back space? I'm currently running drilled and slotted S10 rotors and dual piston calipers with Hawk pads on my Streetstock Circle track car. The rules allow for factory brake parts but nothing aftermarket. The car has almost no fade and I can drive it deep into the corner with little to no fade as it is. I already have people pissed off because of it but it will blow there minds if I showed up with some 13" rotos and bright red Vette Calipers ! ! !
Thanks, Danny

I'll measure tomorrow for you, but I have my doubts that it will work within the dimensions you mentioned.

Thanks, DannyGet a set of AFX spindles that the C5 stuff will bolt directly up to. Even uses C5 hub packs. To me it is just an exotic holding fixture for the brakes.

I do have to agree with Mike, the AFX spindles are sweet, but at $695 for the spindles & then another $215 for the steering arms. OUCH!
For about a third of that, I used 98-02 2WD S10 Blazer spindles that have a similar bearing assy, & made a bracket to mount the C5 calipers & uses the C5 slip on 13" rotor.

Expensive yes, but they also improve geometry numbers. Marcus will tell you all about it. When it comes to racing, money is second to winning.

Wouldn't geometry improve too with taller ball joints?
Being that it is a street stock circle track car, I doubt that he can run anything other than a stock appearing spindle due to track rules. I think fitting the 13" rotor behind a 15" wheel would be a challenge. You could probably do a C4 12" rotor with the C5 caliper but that may not be any better than what you already have.

C5s will NOT fit into a 15" wheel without a decent spacer. I have paired a C5 caliper and LS1 rotor that will fit inside a 16" wheel but that's close as you can get.
