I'm redoing my intercooler piping and wondering where the proper place is to mount my bypass valve? Before or after the intercooler. I have see it done both ways. Which is the right way or does it matter?

They will both work just fine. The purpose of the blow off valve is to protect the blower from spiking pressure when your throttle body slams closed. This pressure will be pretty close to the same at both points. One could say the shockwave starts at the throttle body so put it there. I don't think it will matter either way. Unless your intercooler collapses...

Good point, my brain was in turboland...
I forgot about the constant venting style blow off valves. With a belt driven blower and a constant venting blow off, I agree. In front.

One thing to remember, if your not in boost your not generating heat. Unlike a turbo, since centrifugal belt drivin supercharger operates on RPM, it will always be generating some kind of heat from boost. If you have very mild boost (less then 10psi at max rpm) you will only be generating a few psi at idle to 2000rpm. Minimal heat. If you have a blower that puts out 10-15 psi off idle then it would be huge heat!!!
