My only purchase in Arizona last month finally showed up. I am going to try to make the forgotten 1970's Disco Style cars popular. Any chance of that happening? Tell me what you think of this unique piece?
The car is a real "V" Code factory 455 Four Speed car with steering, brakes, tilt, swivel buckets and console, 3.23 positraction, Factory AM-FM stereo, Air Conditioning and a No Rust Arizona car.
According to the Olds guys they made 95 "V" code Olds A body cars with a 455 and a 4 speed in 1973. That total also includes all the 1973 Hurst Olds cars, 1973 442's and the Cutlass S which is what this car is. I would think that the fewest "V" code cars would have been a Cutlass S trim package like this car. The trim tag even notes that this car is a 4 speed!
I couldn't stand it and had to do something to the car so I removed the stock original wheels and installed a set of original American Racing Torque Thrusts that I had in the garage. The wheel/tires alone made a huge difference in the appearance of the car. I am sure it will take 2 days of pressure washing to wash ALL the Arizona dirt off this car. The car is filthy!
It's official, Disco cars are now cool!!!!!

Discolady.....
My second car was a 73 Cutlass Supreme so Hell yeah that is a cool ride. I noticed though you did not mention the HP rating on that 455???? What was it then, about 165HP......hehe
Very good cars and cheap enough right now. I would love to find another blue one like the one I had.

That thing is friggin' awesome. Factory 4-speed? Wow. With the right touch, you could have a P-T car that turns everyone's head and has 'em scratching it wondering what the hell it is. I dig it.

Sweet. I wish i had a picture of my brothers car. 1973 buick GS. It was clean as a pin. Some old dude kept it in his garage for ever. Had green paint and a dark green top. My brother tinted the windows black, and put some IROC wheels on it and dropped it. He sold it about 10 years ago. That car is still sick looking today. I see it all the time.

Nice. My dad had a 77 malibu 'classic' when I was a kid. He use to drive me to school in it. That thing was pimp.

I thought by reading the title that someone was P/T a 70's van..
Damn..:slap:
nice olds!!
Sweet! Where did you find that thing? My dad had a triple black '73 Cutlass S when I was a young lad. He bought it new and kept it for a long time. At 46k miles it developed a knock. I was about 12 at the time and I helped him tear the engine down (still in the car) for a rebuild. A West Texas sand storm came through town while we still had the engine in pieces and coated EVERYTHING under the hood with a thick layer of sand. My dad said to heck with it and sold it to a wrecking yard for $300 minus their $35 tow fee to pick it up.
Lately I've been looking for another one. Every one I come across is a piece of junk. Good find.
Oh yeah, you need to get ahold of ALLKAR and have him do one of his famous photo chops on it. Keep the "patina'd" Vanilla paint and drop it down over some 19 x 9 front, 20x12 rear cast grey Forgeline's with a brushed lip.

I had a '76 'Bu Classic as a first car. Sold it to my best friend when I joined the Air Force. I've always meant to call him up and see if I could buy it back to P/T it!

ALL the GM '73s are cool. I love the '73 laguna (you could even get it as a wagon!), I had a friend w/ a '73 SS 4 speed also the one year onlt round taillights are what get me. I would LOVE to do a '76 laguna (better nose) w/ the '73 tail.
the buick GS is great too, and the one that doesan't show up that often, the '73 grand am (though the '73 GTO is neat, the grand am has a swoopier nose). great stuff.

Heck yeah that a friggin' cool car! I've always loved the mid-70s Cutlass. Swivel seats make it even cooler! And 455/4spd... that's gotta make it a rare one!

Iv'e always loved the 73-77 GM midsizes. I had a 75 Monte. white with a smurf blue interior. It had every option but the 454. tilt, power everything, power moon roof, swivel buckets. I tossed some shorter tires under it and some Poly bushings on the sway bar and that thing handled pretty sweet.

It looks cool the way it is! But I had to see what it'd look like. The front bumpers been pinched and pulled in too.
