I have a 1966 chevelle that I am going to install a 8 point S&W cage how should I mount it to floor plates or to the frame and if to the frame how would you do it I am concerned about being able to remove the body later it is a frame off rebuild mostly for the street ?

Any thoughts on what is best for a pick-up with a full frame and an 8 point cage that will be used mostly for the street but occasionaly for the drag strip?

I've been thinking of a few different options:
-cage welded to frame outriggers, body mounted with rubber
-frame bolted/sandwiched with outriggers and the body mounted with solid mounts
-cage welded to both the frame and body, and the body mounted with solid mounts
-body and cage welded solid to frame with custom floor pans
-cage welded to the body, body bolted to the frame

thanks

Also, anyone know what the NHRA rules state as far as roll cage mounting? I've read a few different things, and I'm uncertain what the final say is. Thanks again.

To clarify, if I were to weld the roll cage plates to the area where my factory body mounts bolts go through, will that abide by NHRA rules?

I'm planning on doing something like this:

This is for an S10 by the way.
