Hello all, working on a 1972 Pontiac GTO. I have owned the car since 1991, and this will be the third time apart.

I would like to make the car better handling, and stop much better. Plans include:

- 4 wheel disc brake (probably a Matt's Classic bowtie kit)
- reworked Saginaw steering box
- considering swapping out the TH-400 for a 4speed auto (4L60E)?
- whether to stay stock (Brasilia Gold) or go with another colour
- I like '69 GTO Espresso Brown too

Car may take a while to get back on the road, but I will take my time.

Link to my Photobucket site (mine is the red one which is coming apart, some of the other cars - are GTOs that have inspired me)!

Glad to be on this board and hope I can learn (and perhaps contribute) as well 8^)

Welcome, We love GTOs, just getting ready to deliver a 70 Convertible and just had a killer 69 convertible in the shop last week. A 72 is a cool ride. Keep us updated

Hey, maybe we'll see you and the car at the cruise night at the CTC on Queensway some time ... Saturday nights. Usually lots of nice machines on hand.

cheers

Hi Ed, yes very familiar with CTC on the Queensway.

Hopefully some day I will get the Goat down there. My dream is to have something that is worthy of a nice cruise night/car show.

Still lots of work to do. Unfortunately, a wee bit chilly (even with the garage being insulated)! No heat in there yet (have a cheapo propane construction heater - but I have to be really careful with the CO emissions).

Take care,
B.
