If you haven't seen it yet, My nova is in the March issue of Popular Hot Rodding in the Hometown Hot Rodding section. I won the Mothers Picture Perfect Award for the one of the many photos I sent in. Thanks to Steve for passing the CD of photos around to everyone and putting my car in the magazine. The photo that won was the one my wife thought was terrible. My friends complained that it didn't show any of my airbrushed graphics either.
Has anyone had luck finding the March issue on the news stands? I haven't found any here in town. I was wanting to get an extra copy.
My wife also tells me that we get two to three call a day since the issue came out with people wanting to sell me a plaque or display of the add for about $150. She's getting tired of answering the phone.
Thanks again Steve,
Dennis

Dennis, try local QT's and Wal-Marts .
Wait untill people start calling asking about certain things you've done to the car. You're wife will really like that, lol.

Congratulations! I saw the article, and love your car!
Any thoughts on ride and driving it? I've often wondered how your custom "sheet metal" spindles worked out. Would you do that again?

I saw that Dennis, the car looks great. Congrats. I wonder who these people are that are contacting you about putting the page on a plaque or how they got your contact information. I didn't get a single call from anyone when my car went in there. I might have taken them up on it. Did anyone else?

They are generally IN THE NEWS. They do a nice job and have done all my car features.
We don't give them your info. My guess is that they do info searches online based on the name and hometown. Maybe they couldn't find you.
Anyways, if you ever want one done it's www.inthenewsonline.com (http://www.inthenewsonline.com)

Yeah, I've heard from the IN THE NEWS guys a few times. They come across as a bit disingenuous on the phone (I hate "false friends"), but I've seen their work. Nice stuff.

Just make a generic email on G-Mail or Yahoo or something and forward all important emails to that email. Free & Easy.

Sorry I haven't answered sooner, I caught the flew and am just now getting over it.
Driving it is a lot of fun. I've put about 1,000 miles on it so far. I got it running in May of last year and parked if for the winter in late September. I took the Accel DFI computer out and sent it off for some updated. They have some new featuers that should make it more drivable.
The sheetmetal spindles are holding up just fine. I wish I would have made the design a little more flexible with regards to the brakes. When I originally designed and fabbed the spindles I was going to use 15" wheels. Weld Wheels then sponsored the car with a set of 17" wheels. Now I want to up the rotors from 11.75" to 13" but it may require building the spindles over again from scratch. I still have the weld fixtures and the pieces are not hard to make I'm just not looking forward to it.
I was expecting the ride to be harsh with the stock car upper control arms and heim joints at very suspension pivot but it is actually not too bad. There was some clunking going on after I got it going and driving, but that turned out to be self inflicted wound, I didn't tighten the jam nuts on the rear suspension heim joints.
I didn't get to go to any auto crosses last year but I did drive it on the circle track at the KC Goodguys show. It was a blast diving into turn 3 at about 110mph. I then got yelled at buy the track official, not really sure what for. He said I couldn't be doing that on his track, my car has radial tires and they will tear up the track. As apposed to a cup car skidding down the track on it's lid?
Tony-SS, I live in St. Charles just west of St. Louis. I try to go to as many local cruises and shows as possible.
Steve, I'll send you my info and thanks again.
Dennis
