That is BAD!!!!!!!! I would have never thought 20's would look good but.......dang! I will always be a sucker for flares, to me they just doe something to a ride. A new school twist with an old school funk. love it

I don't care for the huge fender flares.

What is that sticking out just behind the door? the exhaust?

IMO 20's only look good tucked under the factory sheet metal.

Is it just me, or would those poor flares get smashed to bits the first time that the car went over a huge bump? LOL

A different look anyway ...

cheers

I know this car. We built the chassis for it.

Got any more pics?

Tyler,

Here is where i found it http://www.kimballstock.com/results.asp?txtkeys1=1967%20Chevrolet%20Camaro%20S S%20Silver

I have seen the car several times here in nor Cal at the Pleasanton Good Guys shows. I am surprised that no one has ever posted it. It sounds mean I think it has a big block.

I have seen it at the Pleasanton Good Guys as he parked right next to me once and yes...it does have a big block running on alcohol and the engine was moved back a foot or so to distribute weight as the owner built it for the Silver State classic I think. The exhaust is 4" pipe coming right out the side of the car behind the door on both sides and it sounds pretty obnoxious. This same guy has a 67 pro-street with a blown big block as well that is pretty nice, it has been featured before, but forget which mag.

I figured it was Nor Cal since that's where Ron Kimball is based.
He shots a ton of cars and prints a mess of calendars but the only one profiting is him.

Wow, Bill finished his car. I almost took this on as a project after it left Tylers. I'll have to email him for some more pictures.

He's running a 540 that's putting out some high HP numbers. The trans is a richmond, suspension is C4 front & rear with carbon half shafts out back. The goal was to build something that would 'waist anything from a 50mph roll' but Silver State was never a consideration. I work with him for 2 yrs in CA before moving to Boston. His two other toys are a 67 P/S fair ground cruiser and a 993 Ruf turbo with a carbon fiber body that runs on race fuel.

wheels are way way too big in my opinion.. would look much better with smaller diameter.

You guys have to be joking. That car looks ridiculous. The flares are just way to big for the car. Looks like it could have been a nice ride but he just went way to big on the flares and wheels. I agree about the exhaust also.

I love it, it is a 67 that I have never seen before? Nothing like it? So that makes it, that much more WickED!

it looks good in only that one pic. The rest it looks gaudy(sp?). Flares look out of place, looks over done, and goofy. eeek!

I tried to talk to the guy who owned the car at GoodGuys and he didn't seem too friendly. Maybe I caught him at a bad time, but the way he responded to me...he seemed like a muscle-bound oaf who wasn't a car guy but wanted a cool car. Maybe I'm way off base. If I am please correct me.

I took pics but I think they are on the computer that died. If I find them I'll post them up. It was a pretty cool car. The rear flares and exhasut were a little different for my taste, but the car was pretty cool...pretty different...and seemed like a powerhouse with the alcohol.

Well, it's been in almost finished status for about a year now. It takes a lot of time to sort out final details and the time given is not enough. I have a feeling it will take about 3 more months to get done.

When it's done you'll definitely know. :)

I'm liking the #6 car way better... I think it's because it actually looks like a race car, instead of a street car trying to look like a race car.

To each his own though... looks like a well done build.
