Just making a post. I have been searching through the Disc Brake section for some time now looking to see what everyone has done. Great board and a lot of very good information. My project is a 1965 Pontiac Tempest. I rebuilt the motor last spring and droped in a 2004r and a 3.55gear. The motor is a 400, 375hp/400ftlbs tq. Now it is time to take care of the brakes.

Welcome! Great looking Tempest. What are the plans for the car?

Judging from the inspection sticker in the window I assume the kc would mean you're from the metro area. If so what part?

I am up in St. Joe. I plan on driving this car as much as possible. I am just looking to have a fairly stock looking driver. The next thing is the brakes. After that I just want to fix up the remaining items, front seat upholstry, door seals, body work, and what ever my wife will let me get away with.

I forgot to mention that I have to compete with the wife for automotive improvement funds. I have the Tempest and she has a 1957 Chevy Bel-air convertible. We got the car from her Dad a few years ago in pretty sad shape. We have done a few things to it just to get it so its safe to drive. I keep telling her that I don't want to sink a lot of money into it unless we are going to restore it all the way through.
