we are on a public high school budget, and are trying not to cut corners too bad. We have looked at Auto Color brand, and it just doesnt seem right. Also have checked out Eastwoods brands, but they dont have a color that we like.
In our searches, we have came up with this web site http://www.tcpglobal.com/restorationshop/rsp2206.aspx but have not found a review or anyone who has used this brand. Any information or comments would be great.

I would look toward a local paint seller and seeing what they sell alot of, and so forth. Be sure to tell them your a school doing a project, etc... I recommend this over TCP or any remote paint dist. simply because you can get the support you need locally, and can make sure the color is what you wanted.
The local shop will guide you toward a solid cost effective paint and the sealers, thinners, etc... that you need to make a good solid paint job in the end.

Well we hope to keep it around 1000.00 or less. We have all the body shop tools.

A local paint store may be up for a little sponsorship good advertising our store has a deal going with the 2 votechs here. Plus it usually means future customers you may approach them with this idea.

Try Sherman Williams. I called and got a 10% discount on their products. They quoted me for 960.00 for everything of their ultra-7000 line. That was for red also.

if the body shop is buying bulk amounts of paint you can probably get on their discount program (they dont pay retail) Swing some advertising in with the deal and you should look pretty good.

Everyone thanks for your help. We have a large amount of sponsors, pleanty of them are on this site, heck we brought 4 of them here over the last three years, to go on and run adds on this site.
Your ideas on this paint thing are great, and we have taken them into consideration, but are still curious to know if anyone has tried, Restoration Shop Paint.....just to see what type of quality this paint has.
And if you comment, make sure you state if YOU have used it or not....lol

also check with oreilly auto parts if they carry paint in your area here they do "nasons, limco, diamont, house of kolors and more!" around here we get 20% off if your at a college that has autobody but should be the same for high school they might work something out with you i think its something they do everywhere. with my discount ive been using for 2 years since i was in school i just got 700 worth of supplies for right at 400....dont ask cuz i dont know, the guy working knows me good enough to think he should cut me a deal! i sure was surprised. but seriously yes the restoration shop paint is cheap ive researched it, and for a single stage on something i didnt really care about i would use it. but on something that needs to come out right "basecoat/clear" is just as expensive through them as it would be at a paint shop with a discount for chromabase/clear.

if you have a ppg distributor locally, check with them on their "omni" line. i use omni alot on my daily driver stuff & it works great! it's on my driver 69 p/u that stays outside in the weather. going on 8 yrs now & still holding up great. it's much cheaper price wise too.

Im a RM / Daimont guy, sprayed PPG for several years, I switched and will never go back. Especially on matching newer colors with pearls and metallics, diamonts color match wins with me. The tech support is top notch...
Their 5300 urethane clear is a great product and a good buy for the money. It gets gives that shine that a show car is screaming for. Sand and buff ability is great too. Every one has a preferred product, and every product sprays and performs differently. What Im getting at is to choose a Quality product that the painter feels comfortable spraying, dont force the painter to use a hard to spray product.
Go around to local body shops and ask who they buy their products from. If they had any problems with product failures and if the company stood behind the product or just handed out a free t-shirt for the troubles. They should give a discount, at least 10% maybe 20%
