I have the heavy duty offset upper cross shafts (69 Camaro from Global West) and need to know which direction the offset should go. Toward the tire or toward the engine? Thanks for the help.

You'll have to get it on an alignment machine to get the best desired castor/camber numbers. Remember that the closer the shaft centerline is to the engine will give you more camber. Wait...I thought they were marked? :hmm:

Mine from GW were marked. I think (bad thing) the offset is towards the wheel, moving the shaft closer to the motor. I'll double check tonight unless someone else chimes in.

I saw the marking but it looks like it will take a lot of shims to get the camber toward negative. I put the three shims in that were there before the rebuild and the tires have a lot of positive camber. Does this sound right? If so I guess I am ok. It just doesn't look right now but it also hasn't been aligned yet.

Even with the offset shaft, mine took alot to get a satisfactory alignment, mainly on the driver's side.
