Hi Guys,

I have a 1968 Chevelle SS 396.
I bought it last year. I am restoring it with a stock / pro touring theme.

The car was built at the GM assembly plant in Fremont, California and has spent its entire life in the SouthWest.
Due to the great climate there, its undercarriage looks fantastic...no rust, no corrosion, the iron underneath it looks great.
So it's a great car to do a build on.

It has a numbers matching 396 engine in it that's already been rebuilt, so I'm going to keep that in the car.
My plans for the near futur are to update the front suspension and convert the brakes to disc brakes.

It has a Turbo Hydro automatic transmission, but I'm entertaining thoughts of putting a TreMec 5 speed in it...among other reasons, that will ensure that the wife won't be able to drive it (she can't drive a stick). :drive:

I am presently gutting and redoing the interior to (hopefully) better than new condition.
