I know it isnt a "good" idea to run a spool on the street, but what are the characteristics/habits of it on the street? Most importantly in a light car. Also, how bad would it be on a daily that isnt driven on any curvy roads?

It will drag the inside tire through turns and chirp as it loads and then unloads the tire tread.
Moisture will induce oversteer... even at slow speeds.
It will show characteristics of trail braking going into turns and it will also induce natural understeer under power (depending on suspension alignment, obviously) but it will be there.
Honestly, its not that bad. It will be a finesse' issue and your driving style will need to adjust to that... but its not going to drive you off a cliff by any means.

if its a drag car and you are looking for maintenance free reliable posi to get all your power down and go straight do it. I commuted a 2000lb 10 second street strip car over 30 miles each way to work for over a year. Never ran into any driving problems with the spool. My buddy had one in high school and was always hitting curbs but it was more of his driving than the spools fault. Just be carefull in the rain- Even coasting while taking a turn too fast can get you in trouble.
Alot of people that arent used to a spool and dont adjust their driving style will end up spinning out- the same way that putting 1000hp under a driver thats only used to 500 would have a hard time negotiating it
