I have 4 Auto Meter 2 3/8? guages that I need to mount in my 68 Camaro. I thought about the guage panels and just bolting them to the lower part of the dash. But I'm not sure.

Don't really want to mess with a console unless it's just for guages, and I want to keep my radio and A/C controls in the stock location.

Nothing obstructing vision.

There is an aftermarket guage pod to mount 4 Autometer guages in the factory console. Several of the repop companies sell the pods. Firewheel classics shows the pod for $40.

Sorry, wasn't clear. I don't have a console, so I don't want to try to put one in. Money issue.

Then just make a 90* bracket and hang them under the ashtray. That is what I did originally on my 68 years ago. I had bought SW guages because I couldn't afford factory console guages at the time. There may even be someone now making pillar pods now for first gens.
