I started watching this show and really like it. It is so sad to see builders do things half assed. It's a great insight that you get what you pay for. My dad raised me with that saying "Do it rite the first time, it takes more time to do it over. Also the 4 P Method "Prior planning for perfect perfomance". Let me know if you like Mike Holmes.

I showed it to my wife the other night. He seems like the real deal. Too bad they don't have a "Carrs on Cars" show to the same thing with peoples project cars.

Been watching him for a couple of yrs. Big bloke takes no crap tells it has it is,just seen 1 done in LA.Think he's great learned a lot from watching he's program as I'm building my own house.
The wife and I have watched that show for a while now. Mike and his team do great work.
Not sure who pays for the redo, but I've always wondered that also. He starts out saying he's just gonna replace the tile, then he gets pissed off at the poor previous workmanship and the next thing you know he's ripping out the entire floor - I-beams and all, re-insulating walls, re-does the roof, plumbing, wiring.
I wonder how much it would cost to have him build a house? Whatever the price, it would be well worth it and it would last 200 years.

Yeah I really enjoy watching his show. A lot better than most of the crap they have on TV.

I have seen EVERY episode. I had it set on my DVR, and drove the wife nuts watching them all. Needless to say my new addition will be built correctly after learning from this guy.
He seems like a guy I'd like to drink beers with.

My buddy turned me onto him. His work is awesome and I really dig the way he does things.
I love the work he does and wish he had a show or part of his show, where he actually could go over some of his techniques/tip on how to do something.
I hope I can save up and buy all of his episodes on DVD.
OH by the way I believe either the rest of this season or next season is the last.
From what I gathered he works with sponsors, the remainder of a persons"contract price" or some such other thing to fix/finish these projects.
His start from what I got was he had sponsors help out and it snowballed. I also thing some of the proceeds of his Holmes on Homes workwear and a lot of oher things he lends his name to.

Just started watching a few months ago, he's on tonight at 9, learned alot from him. Not many people out there work the way he does. Maybe he knows someone who builds cars the right way!

I was taught the 6P methodology of things in my younger days.
