24 hours of Lemons [Archive]

Is anyone going to be participating in the 24 hours of Lemons this year. Some friends and i are going to be running in the one in northern California in September!

for those of you who don't know, its a 24 hours race using cars that cost less then $500. You beat them around the track and pray to god they don't fall apart.... i cant wait!

I wanna do the race in Vegas, but not sure if it's feasible yet.

I had a friend that did this last year. They were the car that got the sledgehammer treatment...hehe
It is for a great clause too. I doubt I participate but will help him again with a donation this year.

I may drive in the houston event.

No way am I doing the December Thunderhill event. It's bad enough there two weeks earlier at the 25hrs of Thunderhill.

im pretty pumped for the event... ive already got a team of 6 broke ass college car kids together... so with anyluck well pool enough money together to get us there....

plus we were lucky enough to have a late 80s mustang convertible POS 4 cylinder given to us.... should be alot of fun.

don't forget the Altamont one....24 hours of that track and you WILL puke your brains out....I was planning to build a car but my plate is way full.

buddy of mine was wanting to put together a truck for one up in michigan. Found a motor/tranny combo for dirt cheap around me and I picked itupf or him.

ive seen this and thought about organizing something at my track to do this with, we have a 1/5 mile oval, thought about making it sort of a s shaped track for this so the speeds werent crazy
