I have a 69 Camaro with a Speedo and Fuel gauge in the dash. The speedo is on the fritz. Currently there is no working oil pressure or water temp gauges in the car.
I am thinking of going with the Stewart Warner Maximum performance line of gauges. I would want to replace the stock speedo and fuel gauge in the dash with a SW speedo and tach. I also want to add a center console pod with 4 gauges and maybe even a few extra gauges mounted under the dash as well. I have seen a few of the threads describing how to install aftermarket gauges in the stock dash.
Also having seen the center mount fuel gauge in the dash:

I am hoping to fit a fuel gauge in the center of the dash as well. I haven't seen much mention of the center fuel gauge option. I am going for a mostly stock look hence why I want to keep the stock dash, but I do want the accuracy and reliability of after-market gauges as well as the variety of gauge types. I wish Stewart Warner's Green Line gauge series had more gauge types to choose from, I'd probably go with them as they have a more "period" look.
Currently I am kind of picturing:
Dash -speedo (left), tach (right), fuel (center)
Console Gauge Pod - Volts, Water Temp, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp
Under Dash - A/F Ratio, Vacuum, Fuel Pressure (for tune-ability)
Anyone have any experience with fitting after-market/Stewart Warner gauges in the stock dash? Especially fitting an after-market fuel gauge in the center dash?
Any ideas, suggestions or pictures are appreciated!
