Looking for the best quality liquid paint strippers, because sandind is not an option being as the car is in the garage with no motor so i cant move it out (steep driveway) and dont want to sand it.

What types have you had success with?

Thanks

Air craft stripper is about your only option. But I will warn you ahead of time the smell is really strong. I would'nt use it in a attached garage. And if you think sanding is a mess. paint remover is twice as messy.

consider getting it soda blasted? roll it onto a trailor and im sure you can find plenty of places that will do it

I have used "Dads Easy Strip" which is sold at Walmart on 3 of my past projects with excellent results. I use a hard plastic putty knife to remove the paint once the stripper has bubbled it up. This will remove about 95% of the material. For the last 5% of material I hit it again with a light coat of the stripper and then scrub it off with coarse steel wool. When finished I wipe the panel down with an old rag and some lacquer thinner. Be sure to wear a good pair of rubber gloves when using the stripper because it will burn if you get it on your skin. If you do get some on you it will neutralize in water pretty quickly.

Im kinda lacking time to do it. I work m-f 5am-5pm and weekends i study for test so this is the only option really.

I just finished stripping my roof and both quarters using "klean-strip KS3" (Home depot) Water based stripper. It's not as strong as aircraft stripper, and takes a bit more elbow grease, but clean up is easy and fumes are nearly non-existant. It took me about 10 hours to get to metal. Make sure you are ready to completely re-do any existing body work as it will remove plastic body filler as well. Once the stripper touches bondo, you will need to remove all of it to get it out of there. Also, the same goes for anywhere it touches factory seam sealer, so unless you are willing to go "all the way" it might be better to get it soda blasted as this will remove any rust as well. In my case, I found some rust, so now I have to get it blasted anyway. Just my .02

Just use the Aircraft stripper! Just do it with the garage door open and the attached door closed. The smell is not that bad at least it wasn't for me! When I stripped the Nova I went to HD and bought a bunch of there cheapest 4" paint brushes, a 4" flexi metal scraper, a couple of bags of semi coarse steel wool and a bag of rags. Went to Auto Zone and bought a couple of gallon cans of the Aircraft stripper. That's all you should need to strip an entire car.
Chemical stripping can get messy but what I did was to get a shoebox and when I would run the scraper across the car I would dump the sludge in the shoebox using the edge of the box to clean the scraper. Much cleaner this way. Also, when you get the majority of the area clean run a light coat of stripper and hit it with the steel wool and wipe it down with the rags. It will come out clean as a whistle! Don't forget to neutralize the areas you stripped with a weak mixture of baking soda and water. After your done you'll have a little surface rust from the neutralizer. Come back with the steel wool to knock off the rust and epoxy prime.
