Anyone going to the Rolex 24 at Daytona?
I'm gonna go this year and was just checking out tickets, I think I'm just gonna do the basic ticket with the garage upgrade.

Well I went down yesterday and got a ticket for the race. So if anyone is gonna go let me know and maby we can meetup.

We will be there. Jimmy Vasser is running a car, and we get the hook up through him. I will be roaming around, Schedule will probably be at the track for the start unitl dusk, then dinner and Lolipops, couple hours sleep and back to the track at day break, or whenever we wake up if the night is too much fun!

Frank what do you mean hook up??? What kinda of pass do you guys have? I purchased just a grandstand/infield ticket with the garage up-grade. I'm not really sure where that means I can go since this is my first time ever at this race. I'm going alone so I'll defintly have meetup with you guys.

By hook up, We get guest passes, we pretty much go where we want. We often end up "sharing" passes as there is always 10 people and 5 passes. Even though we can pretty much go where we want, thing is you do not want to get within 50 feet of the racers when their racing, they are GAME ON, tired, grumpy, exicted, etc. So we don't hang much during the race with racers.
Jimmy is racing with Jimmy Johnson, and I have not met Johnson yet and looking forward to that.
I have never bought a ticket, so I do not know what pass does what.

If I weren't going to Mecum, this would have been a definite. But its just not going to happen. I am trying for ALMS @ Sebring, though...

I had that same hard choice to make. Watch II Much go over the block or go see a race. And I have wanted to go to the Rolex since I was little and have never gone so thats why I picked the race.

I will be at Mecum thursday and Friday. the Prodigy Vette is running Friday night. Then I am going over to Daytona for the race, unless I get really involved in the auction scene and need more.

Good luck with the sale. I'll only be able to go Saturday as I have 3 classes on Friday, so no skipping that day. :smashcomp
I plan on being there most of the weekend with some friends, we have infield and grandstand tics.
