I have a 79 olds too door ,im in the process of doing a lot of work on i have a 7.5 rearend in it and im going to lower it 2-3 inches in the front and 1 in the rear.im looking at aftermarket control arms for the rear and i have seen a post on a g- body site that if you lower the car you need to use adjustable arms on the rear end becase the pinion agle will be off if you use non-adjustable arms .

I have aftermarket uppers that are NON adjustable and the rear is lowered 1" with Eibachs, you'll be fine w/o them.

on a 4-link, the pinion angle doesn't change (much) when the suspension articulates in the normal range. if you were to lay frame or jack it up, I might worry about it, but at that point, you won't be using the stock 4-link anymore.
I would however, weld in some boxing plates into those control arms while you got everything apart.

i bought curectrac arms for my BU.. and was amased at he quality and strength... the johnny joints prevent the binding that otherwise plague g-bodys.. and you will love the handling of rge firmer rear suspension... poly bushings are a no-no on a g-body as the non paralell arms cause binding....
give marcus a call (www.scandc.com) he will straighten you out!
