New guy from NC

Been lurking on this site for awhile mostly for parts, finally joined to ask those nOOb questions and all that good stuff.

I moved to Charlotte about 7 months ago from Chicago. I just finished my masters program at NIU, and moved down here for a job with one of the banks.

I dont really have a Pro Touring project just yet, but Ive been on the LS1tech, Corvetteforum, and bunch of other car club messageboards over the years.

I'm currently rocking an 05 C6 Z51 Vette. It's Lemans blue, T56, and pretty much every option except Onstar and XM. Its a sweet car, but i'll be retiring it from DD duty in a couple weeks when I pick up an 00 GP GTP. Gotta love boost.

My current pro-touring plan is to pick up a 78-82 Malibu station wagon. Swap in either a 6.0 Iron truck block LS1, or get an LS1 and a T56 out of a Camaro/Firebird/GTO, and twin turbo the pig. I've read a few articles about the M122 supercharged with alky injection pushing 750 some odd horsepower on the stock bottom end of that iron block truck engine. Suspension would be a G-body AirRide kit, and some Kore3 adapters, and C6 Z06 brakes.

As for the C6, no real mods to date. I put in a Vararam Intake, and tinted the windows. I'll put a catback on it, and maybe a set of C6 Z06 brakes. Can you tell I like 6 piston caliper brakes??

Nice vette dude! If your thinking about farming out any part of your wagon build, you might want ot look up Red's. his shop is about 2 miles away from mcgills across W.T. harris. the guy has serious skills!
