I have a stock 69 camaro with stock suspension, disc and drums. What tire size and rim backspacing can I use without having my quarter panels rolled up or any mods? Using 17" wheels. Thanks, I would appreciate any help.

What works for most of these cars is 17x8 with 4.75 backspace and a 245/45-17 tire in the front and 17x9.5 with 5.5 backspace and a 275/40-17 tire in the rear. Now what you don't want to hear - all these cars are a little different and some even vary from side to side. Sometimes the front size is dropped down to 235/45s and the rears are dropped down to 255/45s. The bottom line after almost 40 years of use time has not been kind to these cars so you have to check your car and check both sides. Wear and tear - colisions - replacement sheet metal all have an effect. Do a search here and over at www.camaros.net and you will have more reading than you know what to do with. Good Luck!
