Hey all!! Thought i would introduce myself, My name is Tony, and I live in the Seattle area. I am in the beginning stages of planning and designing my project. I am doing a 1964 chevelle 2dr Wagon, It was mine and my dads last project before he passed away. Hopefully I can do him proud with this car. I look forward to the knowledge I will collect from this site and all its members. I have an extensive history of building lowriders and minitrucks, but this will be my first hotrod/protouring project. Wish me luck!

Well, the wagon "originally" was going to get a 396 big block (dads idea) lol. BUT I really would like to build up a Tuned Port engine mated with a 5 or 6 speed.... I love the look of the runners, and their performance aint no slouch..lol as far as the body and suspension, the suspension is going to be boxed and powder coated a gun metal gray with silver ART (air ride tchnology) tubular arms up front and the ART strong arms out back, with 4 corner shock waves. The body will painted in a G4 pearl white while the interior will be a mix of gray leather and and custom fiberglassing. I have ALOT of planning to do. I need to find the best of the best for this thing, as far as brakes and what not... so it should be fun.

Welcome. I'm in Kent. By chance, what color is your wagon? It wouldn't be white with a blue interior would it?

Hi Tony, The 65 has a 402,4spd, 3.55 12 bolt. ss interior with factory tach, padded dash, top of dash clock, tilt column w/2spoke wheel. currently doing the body. I've found two NOS rear quarters over the last 15 years and they are finally getting put on. The 64 was originally a parts car I bought over 10 years ago. The car is very rough needing floors front to back but it is to rare to condemn. That will hopefully be turned into a daily driver with a fuel injected 265 from a 94 caprice and a stick. If someone explains how to post pics, I will try. Regards, George

Just curious since there weren't a whole lot of those around. My dad owned one in the mid-80's. White w/ blue crushed velvet interior (like that when he bought it). It had "Dragon Wagon" etched on the back window. He sold it around '85 and started building a '27 roadster.

that sounds like a cool late 70's build. I would love to see pics of it, if there are any around.

I have a box full of his pics, but I'm not sure that there are any of the wagon around. I think that it was done in the 70's. He loved the car, but when we dropped the new engine in and the rusted mounts let loose, he decided that building a "new" car was the way to go. He had it welded up, we put the engine in it, and some kid bought it for a song.

Wecome. Also in Washington but on the otherside, more sedate part of the state. Boring. Good luck and good build.

I remember that car from the early '70s when we were Cruzin' Colby!

Nice to meet you guys. I'm in the Monroe area and have several projects. My PT project is a '68 Camaro convertible that I plan to do AWD and twin turbo.

Nice to see all the Western, WA guys on here. Those 2 door Chevelles are so cool! A buddy in the area just sold a 65 that went to Bellingham.

I've seen your Nova around too, Don. Looks good!

It's a small world, huh Don? :) I remember you from the NW F-body list. IIRC you were putting a ZZ4 in your deuce.
