That right there is true dyed-in-the-wool backyard hotrodding. The purist definition of hotrodding if there ever was one.
I showed that thread to a buddy of mine in the cylinder head business and he says that as recently as a year ago ET Performance was looking into marketing LS1 heads for small block Fords. This idea has apprantly been kicked around for some time.
Too cool.

I wonder if GM got the design idea from copying Ford heads?
I am a die hard Chevy / anti Ford guy & would be hurt if that is where the design came from. But hey, it works, & works good.

It would be interested in knowing if the guy actually got it running.
Cool backyard stuff there.

Its kinda cool, difinitely out of the box thinking. I was actually thinking a few weeks ago why someone hadn't made a hybrid ls1 head that would bolt to a sbc because the bore centers are the same, and a few days after I read in a mag. that dart was in process on a sbc block that was set up for ls1 heads.

The pain must be great (if its true) cause it says right in one of the posts the Robert Yates designed/hepled design the LS heads! :bananna2: :hah:
