Registration started at 12:00 midnight and ended about 12:30 this morning. First 400 will get phone interview to see if they want you and the next 400 are alternates. Thats 800 registrations in about 1/2 hour then they closed it.

Unfortunately that appears to be the case. I had signed up to their etownpinks e-mail account, but never went back to the website to learn I had to send an e-mail as well. How half assed is that... you have to join their distribution list, and then instead of them sending you a link via e-mail to register, you have to send THEM an email with contact info... but only after one minute after midnight Sunday morning. Odd.
I sent it in anyway around 11AM on Sunday for the hell of it. Who knows, maybe they'll want some American muscle eye-candy in the field.

When I saw there was like 1300 people signed up for the Yahoo group you needed to join before sending them an informational Email I figured It was something you had to do right after midnight so I wrote the mail before midnight and sent it at 12:01 and 30 seconds.
I reciened an email from them a little after 12:30 saying I'd get a phone interview and registration was closed. So I must have been in the first 400.

I don't have TV but I heard there was $10,000.00 for the winner. I figured it'd a fun thing to do and PINKS would be paying for me to go to the track! Whats better than a free track day!

I put down a couple cars on my application Email so they might want me to bring one of the more drag oriented cars that are quicker but I'd really like to use the 14 car.

Got an email from PINKS today saying they'd picked 450 people from the telephone interviews. There was a link to the list of entrants they accepted after the phone interviews. They never even called me even though I'd recieved an email saying I would be called for the interview.

At first i was thinking of registering but then i figured they were going for a low-10, high nine sec field and my car is NOWHERE near that. I'm definitely going there to watch anyways, anybody else going too?

Well I will plan on going for the second day finals should be interesting. lets plan somthing I know alot of people in my town that will be there.
