Hi Guys,
I just chipped and stripped off the undercoat from my gas tank which had to have been brushed on from the original dealer.
Revealed beneath is a very nice looking original tank.

It isn't quite nice enough to clear, so I am wondering if any of you could recommend what to do with the tank. It is still in the car and does not need to be "show". I am thinking a quick etch primer in a rattle can and very light, satin silver.
Any thoughts or advice?
Thank you,
Clark

I used this, a couple coats should do it.

I have a couple brand new cans of that I bought but didn't use. I'll let it go for 1/2 of what eastwood sells it for if you want it. I have a repro tank and decided to clear it.

I checked out a couple reviews on Eastwood's site and one person says that it scratches pretty easily. How is it holding up?
