truck looks sick...looks like a decent bit of money and time you've put in already. Did the coilovers change your ride height any?

Also did the ball joint drop change your suspension geometry? How well does it corner?

I have an S10, putting in a sbc, but those colorados would be nasty with LS motors.

What are you doing with the grill?

What do you have planned for the truck?

the Balljoint drop just repositions the spindle no handling gained except for lower center of gravity

several people have swapped LS motors I'm planning on a LS1 eventually

oh and doing a 5 lug swap is easy. use yota parts. your factory rear end is either too wide for "any" aftermarket wheels (the offset is so high their rediculous) if you want any deep wheel you need to narrow your axle 4 inches!! or do like me and widen (stretch) your bed sides. and swap in a yota front end, or use yota spindles and fab some new control arms to hold them.

swapping in yota spindles/axle is pretty straight forward, but you lose your ABS.

its easier to use the whole yota subframe. really good for doing a "stock" floor body drop, when making a new chassis.

Not sure what Oil pan you need, but I have one off of an LQ4 that I would let go for pretty cheap if you are interested. The truck looks great and a 5.3 swap is really going to be awesome. I would like my Trailblazer a lot more if it was a 5.3.

hey, about a brake kit that someone mentioned. If you have your colorado set up for the silverado ss rims. Is the spacing the same on a trailblazer ss? I have a TBSS and there is a baer big brake kit I believe. Mine at the moment is a stocker, warranty isn't up at the moment.

i know the trailblazers have a different bolt pattern so I think i'd have issues. SSBC makes a kit but it is pricey. I may just swap to a factory silverado rear disc setup or a H3 setup.

Well I was thinking more along the way of taking a silverado axle shorten it to fit and then redo whatever needs done to mount it in there.

Cool project, that truck should fly when done.

thanks, I'm hoping for at least 400 HP out of this which shouldn't be too unreasonable I would think.

Sorry nothing new, been busy with work, and so due to that when I get home I'm usually lazy lol.

I'm actually going to try and get my garage finished up first so if I do go into winter with this I'm not freezing my butt off in the garage lol

Nice Rhyno Lined dent - but on the flip side - it looks a hell of a lot better.

OT question - can you fit a sheet of drywall back down there with the tail gate down?

yes and no, the tailgate opening is fine and the drywall will stick about a foot off the tailgate, but the drywall will be sitting on top of the wheel wells.

Have you put tires on since the paint job on the wheels? I have a feeling that ****'s going to scratch the first time they put a tire machine to it..

nope, and it doesn't matter as the stuff isn't permanent anyways, I actually plan to have the painted at some point
