Im re(modeling) a 67 mustang convertible. Some of the changes i have done are:4.6 dohc, M2 front suspension coilovers with 2" drop, 1999 cobra irs, updated door handles from a 2002 focus, 65/66 shelby side scoops, 67 fastback hardtop (underconstruction), eleanor nose and side skirts, 67 shelby vented hood, late model steering wheel, cruise control, climate control, among other things i cant remember right now. planning on adding twin turbos and a custom dash/ tonneau / waterfall as soon as i get some of the areas finished lol.

Welcome to the site - what's your name?

Would definitely like to see more details on how you did the removable hardtop - I'd been thinking on doing something similar for my Malibu.

Hey, I know you... Hurray! :icon996: More folks from Stangnet... or at least the cool ones. :naughty:

BTW, Nightmare looks great with the hardtop... I still think it's a great idea. Best of both worlds... (not to say the coupes aren't attractive too).

i haven't got that far into it yet, im still on the bodywork actually making it fit right now. what it am planning on doing is using a 67 or 68 convertible frame header for the front. corvette convertible rear deck latches, and a set of hydrolic rams placed in the center pillar to lift it just in case i need in the trunk when the hardtop is on the car.

I have some new progress pictures here https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3873

Welcome to the site. You are putting that car thru a lot of conversions and your even switching it from convert to coupe. I like everything you have done with it so far and plan on doing in the future. My girlfriend also has a 67 mustang so we feel any pain that you are going thru on your project. However yours looks to be in a lot better shape than ours.
Very very cool project you have. Please keep us updated on all of your progress. :twothumbs

Funny... this is from a year ago... Anyway, if you're looking for Chris (Nightmare), you might visit his website. He's been MIA over at Stangnet for 6 months or so too.
