I just finished putting in my 2002 WS6 console in my 71 firebird. It kinda fit....there are a few spots where you can tell it doesnt' fit, but nothing that bad or noticable, I did have to move my seats over a 1/2" because the console was too wide. but i already had custom brackets to mount the recaros to my corbeau sliders so i just redrilled the brackets. over all i am really happy with it!
some of the pics are better than other, I am having a hard time taking pics in the garage.

Hey Rody, looks great. It fits in very nice. Where the hell is the spin out lever...er I mean park brake lever? You gotta put that in! I wish you had not have mentioned that some parts don't fit cause now thats what everyone is going to be looking for at the car shows. how far from running?

got to do my custom radiator stainless hoses(parts are in mail), relocate fuel pump and filters(tailpipes created interference), hook up some wires under the hood(well actually most of them) and a few odds and ends, and i will be ready to fire!, But still won't be road worthy. thanks everyone, BTW a ebrake lever won't fit, the tunnel is way to narrow. I will do something with that later

Looks nice Yody and very familiar. :lmao:
When I installed mine I made if fully adjustable so I could tweak the location of it once I installed the 2002 dash, T56, and seats. Without that it would have been tough to dial in. Your seats do look very comfortable. Are you going to paint the dash to match the console and seats?

Yody,

Car is looking great! BTW could you tell me what "material" did you use for your custom dash panel? and where did you purchase it from? Thanks in advance, hey do you think that it will be hard for you to drive the bird? It looks like you are wicked crazy about detail and finish, not that its a bad thing..I would hate to see it get dirty lol..take care.-Jim

Yody, the gentleman that built this car - http://chevyhiperformance.com/featuredvehicles/148_0502_camaro/ - used a 4th-gen Z28 console in his 2nd-gen Z. If you look at the interior pics and read the article, he was able to use the center-mounted E-brake with "some help from Lokar," the street-rod parts company. Check here - http://www.lokar.com/interior_pages/ebrakes.htm - maybe something in their catalog will help you?

The Year One 69 Camaro also used the console mounted E-brake. I don't think it is very hard to get to work. :)

eh, too much trouble, and the car is almost finished anyway. Do that on my next project. ALso I will drive this car to the wheels fall off. I know it will get dirty, but thats life. OF course pop. hot rodding will have first dibs. Johnny already contacted me months ago, but my car wasn't finished. If only i could get on the cover!

don't ever expect a direct bolt in when it comes to interiors :fingersx:
I say go with something custom. my buddy had a 4 door dart and we did some custom panels and a center console, came out great. if you want I can see if he still has pics of it and send them to ya.
