Rear End front eye bushings

I remember reading awhile back, the way to set up the rear end was to go with a ureathane bushing in the rear eye, and a stock rubber type in the front, this would be better for the ride and the suspension wouldn't bind while cornering. I'm I correct with this, or wrong, and body remember? I'm having trouble finding bushings, but have the uerathane,

You are correct a rubber bushing or a monoball similar to GWs Cat 5 is preferable along with a solid aluminum or urethane type rear shackle bushings.

I just went though this myself. According to Kyle at Detroit Speed. The majority of the ride comes from the front bushing and it is best to leave it the stock type rubber. You can use any other type that you like for the rear. Kyle is working on a rear bushing shackel kit that uses a del-a-lum bushing, but I am not sure if it is ready yet. I needed mine sooner and went with the Global West del-a-lum shackel kit, but did not use the front bushing. Check with Kyle and Global West. Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys, I'm trying to find some bushings, but I thought I had it right, I still want the ride, but handle too, I'll have to check the DSE and GW web site, thanks Steve

Perhaps chicane67 will comment with his experiences. I have just installed the complete GW del-a-lum leaf spring kit front/back with good expectations. If CRS doesn't get me, I'll comment this spring when I get to drive it.

The bind induced by using solid bushings in both eyes is why GW doesnt recommend running a rear sway bar with their leaf spring bushing kits. If you use a front pivot or a rubber front bushing (or GWs Cat 5 rear springs) you may run into the need to run a sway bar in the rear to help adjust the roll stiffness.

I have found some, Moog has discontinued them, what I heard is there was a very bad warehouse fire awhile back, TRW still makes them, should get them soon,

So If I run rubber in the front, will I need a sway bar? I didn't think there would be that much flex, anybody??? Thanks Steve
