I'm just getting the car together (72 Chevelle) and would like to run 17" wheels and tires, but funds are low. I'm looking for a creative way to get some rubber under it. The car will be two tone, fadded factory gold paint and primer black. Wheel finish isn't a big concern, aluminum, chrome, painted steel... I would like something with a black center and silver lip, but I'm up for anything. I'll be running take off tires for now. So far I've looked at 3rd Gen F body take off and replica wheels and BMW replica wheels. Any other options out there?

Thanks!

Here ya go.... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=crr-3978835

You can paint/powdercoat the rim silver and leave the center black. Can't get any cheaper for a new 17" wheel.

Soft 8s are cheap and look decent, but they're HEAVY (do a search, you'll see the threads).

Thanks! 4th gen 10 spokes are nice looking and you can find them cheap. I bought a set for $175 with caps.

Just FYI if you use fourth gen f-body wheels, C4 (ZR1) wheels, C5 wheels, or BMW 3-series wheels you will need a set of thick spacers as these models use a relatively high offset. I would look for a nice staggered set of 5 or 7 series wheels either used or replicas.

I'm selling budnik's off my el camino with rubber! I'm asking 2000 shipped with the tires mounted and balanced. The wheels are brand new, and so are the tires (ZERO miles on these). It's a great deal. Let me know.

They'll bolt right on to a 68-72 chevelle, and work. They are a 9.5 front and 11" wide rear.
